Care For Others. Make A Difference

A national recruitment campaign by the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) to drive people with the right values to take up crucial work in social care, now and for the future. Addressing the urgent recruitment need, the ‘Care for others. Make a difference’ builds on the existing “Every Day Makes a Difference” campaign, but with a new message that reflects the current urgent recruitment need.

Under the strapline We need you now. They need you always, adverts will run across national broadcast and online TV, radio, social media and online to inspire people to make a difference now by working in social care.

What’s new?

Recognising the sector need to recruit quickly and easily, DHSC have partnered with the following national jobs boards to arrange free job listings for four weeks:

Indeed, Monster, Reed, Totaljobs Group and Target Jobs

Advertising will continue to signpost to where applicants can go on to search for jobs via these jobs boards, as well as through the existing search function on DWP: Find a Job.

What can care providers do to benefit?

We will be asking the public to Search adult social care jobs in order to make sure people are finding your vacancies both on our website and on other sites.

How can you support the Campaign on Social Media?

To recognise the hard work of the existing workforce, we will be launching a social media film. Those on social media will be encouraged to show their appreciation for the care sector by sharing the campaign film, or pictures of their own family members and their care workers, using the hashtag #CareForOthers #MakeADifference and #ThankyouCareWorkers. You could also mention the @EverydayIsDifferent Facebook page in your posts.
